Heard Mr.A.N.Ramanathan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.T.Amjadkhan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
2. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking to issue a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records relating to the impugned proceedings in Na.Ka.No.4432/A3/2023 dated 25.11.2023 on the file of the second respondent and quash the same with regard to Serial No.9.
3. In the impugned proceedings, date is fixed for off-line counselling for deploying excess Teachers in some other Schools within the District for the academic year 2023-24. The petitioner stands in Serial 2/6
No.9 in the list of surplus Teachers. Even though date for off-line counselling was fixed as 27.11.2023, counselling has not been conducted so far.
4. Mr.T.Amjadkhan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents and submitted that the counselling is scheduled to be held on 11.06.2024.

Mr.A.N.Ramanathan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has got a peculiar family situation and she is taking care of her unmarried elder sister who is suffering with with 80% disability and if she is transferred to any other place from Aundipatti, she will not be in a position to take care of her sister.
6. Though the petitioner has a peculiar family situation, she cannot seek to remove her name from the surplus Teachers list. However, she can place a request before the authorities to consider her situation and deploy her in a nearby School where vacancy is available. 3/6

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of and the petitioner is at liberty to submit a representation to the second respondent stating her situation and the second respondent can consider the representation of the petitioner and accommodate her in any one of the Schools located near to the School where the petitioner is currently working as against the vacancy in the cadre of B.T. Assistant (Science). No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
