This Criminal Original Petition filed under section 482 of Cr.P.C. Praying this Court, to call for the records relating to the case in CC.No.200 of 2020 on the file of the Learned Addl.Dist.Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Sivagiri and quash the complaint filed by the respondent.

ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr. D.Shanmugarajasethupathi, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr. A.Albert James Government Advocate (Crl Side), for the respondent, this Court made the following order:

This petition has been filed to extend the time to compound the offence in C.C.No.200 of 2020 on the file of the Additional District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Sivagiri in Crl.O.P(MD) No.14620 of 2021, dated 21.03.2022.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a senior citizen and he is not able to mobilise the fund and therefore, he could not pay the compounding fee within the time stipulated by this Court.

3. Considering the reasons stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is allowed and the time is extended for a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
