PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to restore the patta in the name of original assignee Shanugam S/o.Vaithiyalingam as per the proceedings of Pattukottai Revenue Divisional Officer in ep.K.21430/69, dated 12.07.1969 and thereafter, mutate the patta in the petitioner's name to the land in Survey No.121/2 to an extent of 2.50 Acres situated at Alathur Village, AVudaiyarkovil Taluk, Pattukottai District, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

Heard Mr.V.Manikandan, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Satheesh, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
2.The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to restore patta in the name of the original assignee Shanmugam in terms of proceedings dated 12.07.1969 and consequently mutate the patta in the name of the petitioner. 2/5
3.Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the subject matter in issue in this Writ Petition is squarely covered by the order of the Division Bench of this Court in W.A.(MD)Nos.1201 and 1588 of 2019 dated 08.07.2022. He would also place reliance on my order in W.P.(MD)No.3589 of 2025 dated 10.02.2025, where in a similar matter, I had directed the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation in the light of the decision of the Hon'ble Divisional Bench in the above Writ Appeal batch dated 08.07.2022. 4.In view of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2025 and in the light of the decision of the Hon'ble Division Bench in W.A.(MD)Nos.1201 and 1588 of 2019 dated 08.07.2022, within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
