ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 02.02.2026, 2/7
pending on the file of the first respondent, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court, and for a further direction to the respondents not to take any coercive action pursuant to the order in Roc.No.Y8/8124/2024 dated 12.01.2026 on the file of the second respondent, pending disposal of the said appeal.
2.By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.Mr.A.Kannan, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4.The petitioner claims that he was born to Govindarajan and Amudha on 16.02.1979 and belongs to the Hindu Telugu Pattichetty community, which is classified as a Most Backward Class. His educational and professional records, including school certificates, consistently reflect the said community status. He completed his medical studies in Russia, 3/7
qualified in the examination conducted by the Medical Council of India, and has been serving as a doctor in the Tamil Nadu Medical Department for about 17 years without any adverse remarks. A dispute arose on account of a family property issue, wherein his brother's wife allegedly made a false complaint claiming that the petitioner belongs to the Hindu Sadhu Chetty community, which is categorized as a Backward Class. Based on the said complaint, the second respondent conducted an enquiry and the petitioner's community certificate was declared invalid, with a direction for its cancellation. The petitioner contends that the complaint is malicious and devoid of merits and has challenged the said order in this Writ Petition. 5.
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has already preferred an appeal before the first respondent. Pending such appeal, the third respondent has initiated further proceedings against the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner seeks a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, we direct the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till such time, no coercive steps shall be taken by the respondents and any action shall be subject to the outcome of the appeal.
7.With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
