[Order of the Court was made by M.DURAISWAMY, J.] The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to include Karkkadupatti Village, Orathanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District, in the Government Gazette Notification for conducting Jallikattu festival by considering his representation dated 20.09.2018.

2. The second respondent has filed a counter affidavit, wherein he has stated that the petitioner's representations, dated 23.02.2018 and 20.09.2018, have been forwarded to the Superintendent of Police, Revenue Divisional Officer and the Joint Director of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD) No.841 of 2019 Animal Husbandry, Thanjavur, with an instruction to send a report on the feasibility of the conduct of Jallikattu event at the specified location lying in Karukkadupatti Village, Orathanadu Taluk.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the Authorities may be granted twelve weeks time to pass necessary orders on the petitioner's representation.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side and taking into consideration the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate, we direct the respondents to pass necessary orders on the petitioner's representation, dated 20.09.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
