ORDER

The petitioner/defacto complainant in C.C.No.373 of 2023 has approached this Court with a grievance that the complaint, which was registered in the year 2012, has not seen its light for the past 12 years. 1/4

2.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the case was registered in the year 2012, the final report was filed in the year 2019 and it has been transferred from the Court of Ramanathapuram. Again it has been transferred to Sivagangai Court and the same is pending in C.C.No. 373 of 2023 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivagangai, 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) submits that the case stands posted for the appearance of the accused on 01.08.2024. 4.This Court considered the rival submissions made. 5.The case is originally registered in the year 2012 and the same is pending without any progress. The trial Court, without considering the fact that the case was instituted in the year 2012, has simply adjourned this matter in the month of August 2022.

6.In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivagangai, Sivagangai District, to conclude the trial and dispose of the case in 2/4

C.C.No.373 of 2023, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 11.06.2024 NCC :
