2018 pending on the file of the Additional District and Sessions Court for the exclusive trial of PCR Act, Sivagangai to any other competent Special Court in nearby District for fresh trial after setting aside the trial proceedings recorded by the Additional District and Sessions Court for the exclusive trial of PCR Act, Sivagangai with proper and adequate police protection to the victims and witnesses in the case.

Today (24.06.2025), when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that investigation had been completed, charge sheet was filed and thereafter, the present Writ Petition came to be instituted.

2.In view of the fact that charge sheet had already been filed, the relief sought for in the present Writ Petition cannot be granted. However, the trial Court 2/4

is requested to proceed with the trial and dispose of the matter as expeditiously as possible.
