PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, direct the 2nd respondent to complete the enquiry within the time to be granted by this Court on the petitioner's complaint, dated 23.12.2023. O R D E R

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a Mandamus to conduct an enquiry on his complaint, dated 23.12.2023.

2. The respondent police can conduct an enquiry only after registering a case. This Court is not inclined to grant such relief in this writ petition when the petitioner is having available alternative efficacious remedy before the Superintendent of Police and also before the learned Judicial Magistrate.

3. However, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that the enquiry was conducted on the petitioner's complaint and it was also closed. According to the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), it is only a money dispute.

4. Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this petition is closed with a direction to the respondent police to furnish a copy to the petitioner enabling him to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
