Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the crop insurance amount to the petitioner and his family members for the lands cultivated in Pootharayanallur S.F.No.174A/1B1 for the Samba crop 2017-2018 with interest.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The learned counsel for the Insurance Company informs the Court that the crop insurance amount has already been remitted to the account of the fifth respondent society. The learned Government Advocate for the fifth respondent society also states that within a week the eligible amount will be paid to the writ petitioner.
