Pleader for R3, Mr.THAYUMANASAMY, Advocate for R9, the court made the following order:- [Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] This petition has been filed to implead the respondents 8 and 9 as parties to the writ petition.
2.The appointment of the first respondent was made by the Chancellor, Madurai Kamaraj University, on the basis of the report submitted by the Selection Committee comprising the respondents 5 to
7. We therefore implead the Chancellor of Madurai Kamaraj University, Raj Bhavan, Guindy, Chennai and the Registrar, Madurai Kamaraj University, Palkalai Nagar, Madurai as respondents 8 and 9 in the writ petition.
3.Registry is directed to make necessary amendments in the writ petition.
4.Mr.CibiChakraboorthy, learned Counsel, takes notice on behalf of the first respondent. Mr.M.Govindan, Learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the third respondent. Mr.Thayumanasamy, learned Counsel takes notice on behalf of the 9th respondent.
5.Issue notice to respondents 2 and 4 to 8, returnable by 01.08.2017. We direct the Secretary to the Chancellor, Madurai Kamaraj University, to produce the entire records relating to the selection of the first respondent in a sealed cover on 01.08.2017.
