Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent No.2 to issue Patta by considering the petitioner's appeal filed on 09.01.2025 in accordance with law.

ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 2nd respondent to issue Patta in his name, by considering his appeal, dated 09.01.2025, within a time stipulated by this Court.
2. According to the petitioner, he filed an application before the third respondent, seeking issuance of patta in respect of the property situated in Survey No.143/1, Veeramalaipalayam, Aniyapur Village, Trichy District, and the same has been rejected by the third respondent on 18.11.2024. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the second respondent on 09.01.2025. Since the said appeal has not been considered, the petitioner has come forward before this Court by way of this Writ Petition.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, would submit that the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 09.01.2025, will be considered by the second respondent on its own merits within a time stipulated by this Court.
4. In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 09.01.2025, and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and other interested parties.
5. Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. 02.06.2025 NCC :
