ORDER

The petitioner before this Court is a retired employee of the respondent Corporation. He joined the service as a Conductor on 25.11.1980 and retired from the service as a Ticket Checking Inspector on 31.03.2017, as such, he has completed 36 years of service in the respondent Corporation. But, the respondent Corporation has calculated the provident fund disbursal amount for 32 years of service, instead of 36 years. In this regard, the petitioner has made several representations to the authorities. Since there is no positive action, he has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to disburse the difference in the provident fund amount for the four years, along with interest at the rate of 6% per annum.

WP(MD)No.13646 of 2020 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner dated 11.03.2020 is directed to be disposed of, within a stipulated time limit.

3.In view of the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court, without expressing anything on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.03.2020 and pass appropriate orders, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
