PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned detention order passed by the second respondent made in his proceedings in P.D.No.81/2021, dated 15.07.2021, in detaining the detenu under Section 2 (e) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 as a Drug Offender and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu namely Mangalam W/o.Selvarasu, female, aged about 50 years, who is detained in Special Prison for Women, Tiruchirappalli, before this Court and set him at liberty. 2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.S.Ravi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State, on instructions submitted that the Government itself has revoked the order of detention, by the order in G.O.Rt.No.4000, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XV) Department, dated 31.08.2021. He has also produced the copy of the said Government Order.

3. In view of the above, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed as no further order is necessary.
