Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner's case is that a major portion of his land have been acquired and that therefore, the remaining portion can also be acquired. 2/4

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner's request was already considered and rejected because the fifth respondent had does not require any further land for doubling works.
