ORDER
The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to provide employment for the petitioner on intercaste marriage priority for the direct recruitments of Lab Assistants Posts in any one of the places in Vallam, Thirukkarukavur, Natukadi, Alangudi, Madhur West and Thiruppanduruthi in Thanjavur District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.03.2019. 2.Appointment can never be claimed as a matter of right. All appointments are to be strictly made in accordance with the rules in force. Mere direction to provide employment cannot be considered in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)No.8817 of 2019 a writ proceedings. The petitioner has to participate in the process of selection, if at all any irregularity or corrupt activities are notice in the process of selection, the petitioner may challenged the said selection itself. Contrarily, he cannot file a writ petition for a direction to provide employment to him based on the inter-caste marriage priority. Appointments are to be made under the constitutional scheme and through upon competitive process. If any recruitment notification is issued, then the petitioner is at liberty to participate in the process of selection. This being the principles to be followed.
3.In view of the above, the relief as such sought for in the writ petition is untenable and accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
