This writ petition has been filed, seeking a direction to 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.12.2016 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. Mr.M.Velmurugan, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Puliyarai Police Station, Sengottai Taluk, Tirunelveli District, is present before this Court.

4. When this matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, the respondent police have registered a case in Crime No.16/2017 under Sections 147, 148, 341, 294(b), 323, 324 IPC against Umar and four others and on the complaint of Mytheen Beevi, a case in Crime No.220/2016 under Sections 294(b), 323, 506(i) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 has been registered against the petitioner and three others.

4. Recording the submission, this writ petition is closed, with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. No costs.
