O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The writ on hand has been instituted to direct the respondents to remove the encroachments on the 20 feet road running through the Survey Nos.430, 429, 416, 414 & 404 and connecting the East and West Parts of the Thalaiyouthu Village, Tirunelveli District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 07.09.2018 to the first respondent and consequently protect and preserve the said 20 Feet Road from any development and construction activities whatsoever. 2.The learned Government Pleader would submit that the authority competent will conduct survey, identify the encroachments and 2/5

initiate appropriate action.

3.In view of the above submission, the second respondent/Tahsildar is directed to conduct a field inspection, survey the land and identify the encroachments and thereafter, remove the same by following the procedures as contemplated under the relevant statutes and rules. The said exercise is directed to be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
