The Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruchirappalli, is suo-motu impleaded as the fifth respondent. Mr.C.Ramar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the impleaded respondent. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, notice to the fourth respondent is dispensed with.

2.By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The petitioner has filed an application under Section 5 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.13432 of 2020 2007. It was filed on 25.11.2019. It is yet to be disposed of. Therefore, the competent authority, namely, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruchirappalli, is directed to dispose it of on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is needless to mention that the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruchirappalli will hear the contesting respondents herein before passing final orders. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. It is open to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruchirappalli, to pass orders one way or the other.

4.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
