ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issaunce of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to provide electricity connection to petitioner's agricultural land in Survey No.957B-2D at Anjukuzhipatti Village , Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 09.07.2018 and 22.09.2018.

2.The petitioner had applied for electricity service connection for his agricultural land in Sy.No. 957B-2D at Anjukuzhipatti Village, Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul. Since electricity service connection was not provided to her, she has approached this Court for disposal of the representations dated 09.07.2018 and 22.09.2018 3.In response to the representation, the Electricity Board has produced records to show that the petitioner was intimated of all the schemes. On 07.12.2007, the petitioner has undertaken to avail the self-financing scheme in person. Thereafter, the respondents issued readiness notice dated 20.03.2008, instructing the petitioner to remit the cost for the provision of electricity to the tune of Rs.54,565/-. As per the scheme, the petitioner should pay the same within a period of 7 days. Even though the petitioner has agreed to avail the self-financing scheme, she refused to pay the estimated cost. Therefore, the self-financing scheme availed by the petitioner was cancelled.
The original registered application of the petitioner is kept pending under ordinary scheme. As and when her turn comes as per seniority, the petitioner will be given electricity service connection.
4.Perusal of the file produced by the respondents would show that the petitioner was informed and she has acknowledged the receipt of the communication. In such circumstances, the petitioner cannot now seek provision of electricity connection under the erstwhile scheme.
The respondents are willing to provide electricity connection, as and when the Government announces the scheme in future. Since the petitioner failed to avail the schemes announced by the Government on two occasions, one during 2007 and another during 2018-19, the petitioner cannot now seek electricity service connection on priority basis. However, as intimated by the respondents, the petitioner can avail the future self-financing schemes by paying appropriate amount.
5.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to avail the future dated self-financing schemes to be announced by the Government and the respondents are directed to inform the petitioner as and when it is announced. No costs.
