Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to rectify the mistake in (UDR) revenue records classification of the petitioner's land comprised in Old Survey No.28/1, New Survey No.56/2 (measuring extent of 0.88.5 Hector) and 56/3 (measuring extent of 0.60.5 Hector) situated at N.Vedapatti Village, Ettaiyapuram Taluk, Thoothukudi District and consequential order to induct petitioner's name in online patta, by disposing petitioner's Online Petition No. 2022/9005/28/332184/0209 dated 09.02.2022 on merits within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner complaints that mistake had occurred during UDR in respect of the petition mentioned land. He submitted an application before the third respondent. The third respondent has since forwarded the same to the District Revenue Officer, Thoothukudi, after

holding an enquiry. The fifth respondent is directed to pass orders on the petition mentioned application on merits and in accordance with law and after due notice to all the interested parties within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I have not gone into the merits.

3. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
