Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant permission to perform the cultural programme of "Adal Padal" on 07.06.2017 at night 08.00 pm to 12.00 am at Arulmigu Avudai Vinayagar, Sri Alagiyanachi Amman, Sri Seri Alagan Ayannar, Sri Karudaiyar Kovil is situated at Authoor, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukottai District and to provide adequate police protection based on petitioner's representations dated 27.05.2017 and 31.05.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.R.Karthic Rajan For Respondents : Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, Additional Government Pleader.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Adalpadal programme in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus. 2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. 3.It is seen from the records that on 31.05.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 31.05.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
