PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, directing the respondent not to harass the petitioner and his family on the guise of securing the accused persons in Crime No.1156 of 2020 on the file of the respondent.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was working as a System Operator in Assefa-Sarva Seva School, Madurai. One of his close relative, viz., Jegatheeswaran was died in a suspect manner, for which, the respondent Police registered a case under Section 174 of Cr.P.C. in Crime No.1156 of 2020 for the offence under Sections 294(b), 352, 324 and 307 IPC and after death of the deceased, FIR was altered into Section 302 IPC. Thereby, the respondent Police called the petitioner for enquiry with regard to the above said occurrence, for which, the petitioner appeared before them, at that time, the respondent Police had harassed him.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent Police would submit that after completing the investigation, final report has been filed before the concerned Court by deleting the name of the petitioner.
4. Recording the above said submission, the Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
