Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioner representations to the respondents on 16.05.2017 and 30.05.2017 thereby to grant permission to conduct the Adal Padal Programme to be held on 07.06.2017 at about 7.00 pm during the temple festival of Arulmigu Shree Janakaimariamman Temple situated in their locality.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Adalpadal programme on the basis of the representations dated 16.05.2017 and 30.05.2017, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus.

2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has contended to the effect that last year both groups have joined together and conducted Adal Padal programme.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has contended that one Sangankovil Grama Nala Sangam has already obtained an order for conducting Adal Padal Programme on 18.05.2017 on the same day viz., 07.06.2017. 5.Considering the rival submissions made on either side, this Court is inclined to pass the following order. 6.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs and the third respondent viz., the Inspector of Police, Sholavandan Police Station is directed to look into the representations dated 16.05.2017 and 30.05.2017 and if necessary, the third respondent is directed to conduct Peace Committee Meeting and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
