Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to permit the petitioners village people to conduct the Vada Jallikattu scheduled on 09.06.2017 at Ulavarkulam (Survey No.453) Koolipatti Village Kurichipatti Post Melur Taluk Madurai District by considering petitioner's representation dated 25.05.2017. ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting programme of Jallikattu in the place mentioned in the petition on 09.06.2017 by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus.

3.It is seen from the records that on 25.05.2017, a representation has been given to the respondents, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:

4.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs. The first respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 25.05.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
