Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner submitted an application to the 1st respondent seeking re-issuance of his passport. Since on account of his bad antecedents, he apprehended that his application may not be considered that led to the filing of this Writ Petition.

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is firmly asserted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner was involved in three cases and they have already been concluded. One case ended in acquittal, the 2nd case ended in compromise before this Court and the 3rd case ended in payment of fine. The claim that as on date, there is no criminal case pending against the petitioner is not controverted by the learned Government Advocate for the 2nd respondent. Therefore, I direct the 1st respondent to process the petition mentioned application and re-issue passport to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible subject to the fulfilment of other usual formalities. 4.The Writ Petition is allowed accordingly.
