ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner had sought re-issuance of his passport. Since it was not considered, the present writ petition came to be filed.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent submitted that the petitioner's application has already been closed. The petitioner is permitted to file a fresh application. It is seen that all the cases registered against the petitioner on the file of the respondents 2 to 4 pending only at the FIR stage. Therefore, there is no impediment for considering the petitioner's request. If the petitioner submits a fresh application within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, the same will be processed. The first respondent shall reissue the passport to the petitioner subject to the fulfilment of the other usual formalities. 2/4

4. This writ petition is allowed on these terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
