(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The Writ of Mandamus has been filed to direct the respondent to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 15.12.2018 regarding the appointment of the petitioner as Junior Training Officer as per the selection list.
2. The process of selection has already been concluded and the learned Additional Advocate General has fairly admitted that the case of the petitioner ought to have been considered under the BC General category. Though the petitioner was considered under BC (Priority) category, he secured more marks than the BC (General) category and therefore, his case is to be considered under the BC (General) category. In view of the fact that the petitioner has scored 77 marks, he is eligible for selection and appointment. 2/4

In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the respondent, the respondent is directed to select and appoint the petitioner to the post of Junior Training Officer prospectively. The petitioner is eligible to get all the service benefits prospectively from the date of appointment, including the monitory benefits.
4. The Writ Petition Stands disposed of with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, connected Writ Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
