Challenging the land acquisition notification dated 13.02.2019, the present writ petition has been filed.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the work of "Construction of a Road Over Bridge in lieu of the existing Level Crossing No.486 at Railway Km 652/700-800 between Milavittan and Tuticorin Railway Stations," for which the subject property was proposed to be acquired, has been deleted vide G.O.(Ms.) No.83, Highways and Minor Ports (HQ2) Department, dated 29.09.2021. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition.
