ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by N.ANAND VENKATESH,J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to produce the body or person of the petitioner's sister and to set her at liberty.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents.
3. The case of the petitioner is that her sister was working in a private company and she is yet to get married. On 30.03.2026, after she left her home for the workplace, her whereabouts could not be ascertained. Hence, a complaint was given before the 3rd respondent, based on which, a ''woman missing'' FIR was registered in Crime No.177 of 2026 and since no steps were taken by the 3rd respondent to find the whereabouts of the sister, the present petition has been filed before this Court.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's sister has married one Shankar and she does not want to go back to her parents. She is now residing along with Shankar and in fact, a complaint was given before the Elayirampannai Police Station, seeking police protection.
5. In the light of the above submissions, it is clear that the detenue is not under illegal detention of anyone and therefore, no orders can be passed in this petition.
