O R D E R

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue the Legal Heirship Certificate of the petitioner's father Late.K.Mariappan based on the representation of the petitioner dated 15.05.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3. Mr. A. Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. Though the Writ petition is for issuing a positive direction, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondent to consider the representation/Application for issuance of legal heirship certificate of the petitioner, dated 15.05.2017. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer of the learned counsel for the Writ petitioner, without expressing any

opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The respondent is directed to consider the application/representation of the petitioner, dated 15.05.2017, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
