************ [Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.] The writ petitioner seeks to stop the sand quarry on the eastern bank of Kaveri River in S.No.1 and other adjacent lands within the revenue jurisdiction of Unniyur Village, Thottiam Taluk, Trichy District. He submitted his representation dated 25.05.2017 in this regard. Since, no action was taken, the present writ petition came to be filed.

2.This Court directs the first respondent to enquire into the said representation and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording opportunity to the writ petitioner, within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
