ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to transfer the name of patta in the Petitioner's name in respect of land in Survey No.1549 situate at Enjor Village, Sivakasi Taluk, Virudhunagar District by considering the representation of the Petitioner, dated 3.4.2017.
2.Mr.M.Alagathevan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.
3.By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal, at the admission stage itself. 4.According to the Petitioner, he purchased the lands through two sale deeds, dated 13.5.2016 and 19.5.2016, registered as Document No.3316 of 2016 and 3529 of 2016.
5.The Petitioner would further state that immediately after
purchasing the property, he gave an application to transfer the patta in his name. Since there is no response from the respondent, on 3.4.2017, the Petitioner sent a representation to the respondent in this regard. Since no order is passed on the said representation till date, the Petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra. 6.Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the Petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the Petitioner, dated 03.4.2017 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders on the same, after giving notice to the Petitioner and other interested parties, if any, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
