The petitioner, a contractor of Ilayankudi Panchayat Union has filed this writ petition in the year 2019 for a Mandamus directing the respondents to allot the works sanctioned in the Administrative order issued by the first respondent in a transparent manner as per the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act 1998 and the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Rules 2000.

2.On 25.11.2023, when this writ petition was taken up for hearing, there was no representation for the petitioner. Therefore, this writ petition was ordered to be listed today under the caption 'for dismissal'. Even today, there is no representation for the petitioner. 3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that the works mentioned in this writ petition were already allotted as per the relevant Act and Rules and the works have also been executed by the respective contractors. 4.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this writ petition is closed.
