..Respondents PRAYER:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to issue necessary direction to the third respondent to assign the house site to an extent of 2.5 cents each, by surveying the land bearing S.No.9/1 and 9/2 situated at Thanakkankulam and K.Puduppatti Village, Thirupparankundram Taluk, Madurai District based on the petitioner's representations dated 01.03.2023 and 02.05.2023 made to the first respondent.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The only request made by the petitioners is that the first respondent should direct the third respondent to assign the house sites to an extent of 2 1⁄2 cents each to the petitioners by surveying the petition mentioned lands.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents informed this Court that survey is to be conducted on 30.05.2023 and steps to earmark and allot sites will be finished as expeditiously as possible. This submission is made by the learned Additional Government Pleader based on the written instructions instructions of the Special Tasildar (Land Acquistion), Adi Dravider Welfare Unit-I, Madurai, dated 10.05.2023. 4.Recording the said submission, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
