This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.04.2016 requesting transfer to Karaikudi Regional Office on medical grounds, within a time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for R1 and the learned Standing Counsel for TNSTC appearing for R2.

3. Mr. J.Gunaseelan Muthiah, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent No.1 and Mr.D.Sivaraman, learned Standing Counsel for TNSTC takes notice for the respondent No.2. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer sought before this Court by the learned Counsel for the petitioner without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction: "The respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.04.2016, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

5. Accordingly, the Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
