This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to appoint the Petitioner to the post of Lab Assistant as per the School Education-RMSA Scheme in Pudukkottai under the Physically Handicapped Quota based on the Petitioner's representation, dated 1.9.2018.
2.Mrs.S.Srimathi, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3.The case of the petitioner is that the Petitioner is a physically handicapped person with 50% permanent disability issued with National Identity Card and Pass Book with Disability Certificate by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Further the Petitioner is a B.Sc., B.Ed graduate and also attended the examination on 31.5.2015 under the School Education -RMSA Scheme for lab Assistant Posts in Pudukkottai District, conducted by the State Government and he has scored 103 marks in the above examination. He was also called for Certificate Verification for the post of Lab Assistant. But the Lab Assistant post under the physically handicapped quota has not been filled up till now. The Petitioner has also sent representation on 1.9.2018 to the respondents. Since the said representation did not evoke any response, the petitioner is before this Court with the relief stated supra.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the respondents are ready to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the Petitioner in accordance with law, within the time stipulated by this Court.
5.In view of the above submission, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the Petitioner, dated 01.09.2018 and to pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with the rules, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, preferably on or before 31.12.2018, if there is no legal impediment to do so. 6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
