ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner applied to the 1st respondent seeking issuance of passport. Since it was not considered, the present Writ Petition came to be filed.

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the 3rd respondent submitted that the petitioner is involved in Crime No.257 of 2021, but it is still pending at FIR Stage. This FIR deserves to be withdrawn and dropped in view of the policy taken by the State Government to drop all cases registered in the wake of Pandemic. In any event there is no impediment for the 1st respondent to grant the relief sought for in the Writ Petition. Therefore, the 1st respondent is directed to process the petition mentioned application and issue passport to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible subject to the fulfilment of other usual formalities. 2/4
