ORDER

The petitioner is before this Court seeking for a direction to the respondents to forthwith renew the petitioner's passport No. IND P 4136123 issued on 18.10.2016 and expiring on 17.10.2026.

The petitioner's application for renewal of passport has not been considered citing that the petitioner had obtained double passport with different in place and date of birth, difference in parent's name and therefore, the petitioner was called upon to come in person with all original documents on any working day except Wednesday between 9.00 a.m, to 12.00 noon, at Regional Passport Office, Madurai. 2/6

3. The petitioner claims that subsequently he visited the office of the respondent and furnished all the relevant documents. However, the respondent has not considered the said documents and reissued and renewed the passport.

4. The learned Standing counsel for the first respondent submitted that the petitioner has not visited the respondent office in person as directed vide communication dated 28.11.2025.

5. In light of the above, the writ petition is disposed of preserving liberty to the petitioner to furnish all relevant documents with the first respondent within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of such relevant documents, the first respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from thereafter.

6. There shall be no order as to costs.
