PRAYER :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing respondents to complete the drainage system as per the resolution number 131 of the 4th respondent dated 28.11.2025 for maintaining the hygienic village of Avudaiyanoor based on the petitioner's representation dated 01.04.2026 within the period stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing respondents to complete the drainage system as per the resolution number 131 of the 4th respondent dated 28.11.2025 for maintaining the hygienic village of Avudaiyanoor based on the petitioner's representation dated 01.04.2026 within a time frame. 2.

Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 has produced the proceedings of the 1st respondent / District Collector in Na.Ka.No.COLRD/160/2025-A5, dated 05.02.2026 2/4

and submitted that by the said proceedings, the District Collector has accorded administrative sanction for construction of drainage from Avudaiyanoor bus stop to Mottaikalangal Swamy Koil in Avudaiyanoor Panchayat and the work will be carried out after the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Election 2026.

3. Recording the said submission, the respondents are directed to complete the construction of drainage system from Avudaiyanoor bus stop to Mottaikalangal swamy koil in Avudaiyanoor Panchayat, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
