Respondents PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent i.e., the Additional Chief Secretary and Secretary to Government, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation, dated 31.03.2017, regarding her appearance in the special test examination to be conducted by the T.N.P.S.C., for absorption as Junior Assistant as per G.O.Ms.No.37, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj(E5) Department, dated 22.03.2017 on par with 906 similarly placed persons, within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent i.e., the Additional Chief Secretary and Secretary to Government, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation, dated 31.03.2017, regarding her appearance in the special test to be conducted by the T.N.P.S.C., for absorption as Junior Assistant as per G.O.Ms.No.37, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj(E5) Department, dated 22.03.2017 on par with 906 similarly placed persons, within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard, Mr.S.Visvalingam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
4. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer in the Writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 31.03.2017, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
