Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned order issued by the respondents dated 02.06.2017 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents to grant permission to the temple festival for conducting Aadal Padal Kalai Nigalchi at the evening hours on 09.06.2017 with necessary police protection in Sri Soundaraja perumal Temple at Vadapudupatti, Annaji Post, Theni District.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for records relating to the impugned order dated 02.06.2017 passed by the second respondent and quash the same, by way of issuing a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus.

2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. 3.It is seen from the records that the petitioner has submitted a representation for conducting festival and also Adalpadal programme. The second respondent has given necessary permission for conducting festival, but rejected Adalpadal programme without assigning any reason.

4.Considering the fact that the second respondent has rejected Adalpadal programme without assigning any reason, this Court is inclined to pass the following order. 5.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs and the impugned order dated 02.06.2017 passed by the second respondent is quashed. The second respondent is directed to look into the representation alleged to have been given by the petitioner afresh with regard to Adalpadal programme and pass suitable orders within a period of two days.
