Respondents PRAYER:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to grant permission to conduct Adal Padal programme will be held on 10.06.2017 at about 08.00 p.m to 11.00 p.m, Sri Muppidathiamman Thirukovil Festival at B.Ramachandirapuram, Rajapalayam, Virudhunagar District and to give necessary police protection to the said programme. For Petitioner : Mr.M.Mohan Gandhi For Respondents : Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, Additional Government Pleader.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Adalpadal programme on 10.06.2017 in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus.

2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has contended that similar programme has been conducted last year and due to clash between two groups, two criminal cases in Crime Nos.208 and 209 of 2016 have been registered. Under the said circumstances, permission sought in the Writ Petition cannot be granted.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has contended that the place mentioned is totally different from the place mentioned on the side of the respondents. 5.It is seen from the records that on 05.06.2017 a representation has been given to the second respondent, but the same has not been considered.

6.Considering the aforesaid factual circumstances, the second respondent can be directed as indicated below. 7.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 05.06.2017 and dispose of the same on merits within a period of two days.
