This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation, dated 05.05.2017, with reference to the letter LBO/VNR/RO/100/2010-11, dated 05.04.2011 from the office of 1st respondent to 2nd respondent and respond within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

2. Heard, Mr.C.Masilamani, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Dilip Kumar, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

3. Mr.N.Dilip Kumar, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer in the Writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.05.2017, and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

5. Accordingly, the Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
