ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to reissue the Ph.D degree Certificate to the Petitioner in Economics instead of Mathematical Economics as done in the case of one Ms.Jayanthi (Registration No.3381) within the time frame fixed by this Court. 2.Mr.M.Mahaboob Athiff, learned Standing counsel takes notice for the respondent/University.

3.By consent of both parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal, at the admission stage itself. 4.According to the Petitioner, after completing post-graduate degree in Mathematical Economics, he studied Ph.D in Economics. But the respondent University issued a decree stating that the Petitioner has completed Ph.D in Physiology in Mathematical Economics instead of Economics. So, he immediately made a representation on 4.5.2015 and thereafter sent another representation on 15.12.2016 to the respondent. Since no order was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

passed, the present Writ Petition is filed.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representations of the Petitioner, dated 4.5.2015 and 15.12.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders on the same, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
