O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to allot a house in the Housing Board at Kalmanthaiyam, Palakkarai, Tiruchirappalli, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.04.2023.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the second respondent has constructed several housing units in Trichy and that such houses are being allotted to homeless persons. The petitioner, belonging to the economically weaker section, had submitted an application to the second respondent seeking allotment of a house in the said unit. In this regard, the petitioner made a representation on 28.04.2023 requesting the allotment. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 28.04.2023 will be considered in accordance with law. 2/4

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.04.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
