Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to settle the petitioners difference commutation amount of Rs.8,00,000/- together with interest at the rate of 18% per annum payable from 31.07.2017 the date of the retirement of the petitioner to till the date of actual payment.

O R D E R

It is stated by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Corporation that difference of commutation amount along with interest has been paid to the petitioner on 30.01.2021 and hence, the prayer sought for in the present writ petition has become infructuous.

2.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands closed. In case, the petitioner is aggrieved against the quantum of settlement, liberty is hereby granted to him to challenge the same in the manner known to law. No costs.
