2.By consent of both the parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3.The petitioner's father was working as a Village Administrative Officer at Rajakalmangalam Part II, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District. He died while in service on 16.04.2000.

The petitioner applied for appointment on compassionate grounds. Since it was not considered, this Writ Petition was filed for directing the respondents to take expeditious steps to appoint her.

4.When the matter was taken up for disposal, Mr.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents on instructions would submit that the petitioner would be granted appointment on compassionate grounds.

5.Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
