This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. Praying this court, to direct the 1st Additional District and Sessions Judge, Trichy(PCR Act Cases) to consider the bail application on his surrender on the same day , if any petition filed by the petitioner in Crime No.78/2020 on the file of the 2nd respondent.

ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming upon for hearing on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.M.Subash Babu, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr.V.Neelakandan, Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents 1 and 2, this Court made the following order:

"Heard, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Neelakandan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that on account of viral fever and subsequent lock down, he could not appear before the Special Court and apply for regular bail. He, therefore, seeks extension of time.

3. The Petitioner is given two more weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to surrender before the court below and applied for regular bail. The Jurisdictional Court will dispose of the petitioner's bail petition on merits and in accordance wiith law on the same day of surrender.

4. This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition stands allowed.
