ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The petitioner filed this writ petition with an allegation that the third respondent misappropriated the public funds allotted for putting up animal shelter within the jurisdiction of Thiruthangal Municipality.

2.The petitioner submitted a representation to the District Collector, Virudhunagar District, on 09.08.2016 to consider the matter. Since there was no follow-up action taken by the first respondent, the petitioner is before this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.This Court appointed an Advocate Commissioner to inspect the so-called animal shelter. The report dated 17.07.2017 reveals that there is no such animal shelter, as contended by the third respondent.

4.The learned standing counsel for the third respondent, on instructions, submitted that the third respondent renovated the existing building and converted it as an animal shelter. 5.We direct the District Collector, Virudhunagar District to consider the issue raised by the petitioner and dispose of his representation, dated 09.08.2016 on merits as per law. The District Collector shall personally inspect the so-called "animal shelter" before passing orders on the representation dated 09.08.2016. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
