ORDER

This Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Deputy Solicitor General of India for the first respondent and learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the second respondent.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner today submits that the petitioner has two criminal cases, which are pending before the Criminal Court under the provisions of Essential Commodities Act, out of which in respect of Crime No.1 of 2023, charge sheet has been filed and the same was taken of cognizance in C.C.No.201/2025 by the learned Judicial Magistrate-III, Madurai and another case registered in Crime No.101 of 2024, is still under investigation.

3. Under these circumstances, there cannot be a positive direction as prayed 2/4

for. It is, however, open for the petitioner to approach the concerned Court for appropriate relief under the Passport Act, 1967.
